Anthony “Tony” Ianiro, Jr, 68 of Brick, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 16th, 2020 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune with his loving family by his side.
He was raised in Union, NJ, graduating Union High School in 1969. Growing up, Tony always had a passion for music and pursued a career as a musician in several bands, playing keyboards and singing background vocals. He also played the accordion and continued to share his passion of music throughout his life with friends and family. He met his former wife in 1981 and married in 1984. They built their home in Brick Township and were married for 31 years. They had 2 beautiful daughters that were raised in Brick. He continued to work as a Department Manager in Pathmark Food Stores for nearly 30 years. Along with music, Tony shared a passion for antiques and classic cars. He spent most of his life restoring and collecting as a hobby. He also enjoyed going to concerts, listening to live bands and taking trips to Atlantic City. He especially loved spending time with his family and friends. He will always be remembered as a loving, family man that would do anything for his daughters and grandchildren.
Tony is survived by his ever loving mother, Sylvia; loving daughters, Gina Ianiro, and her husband Karim Eldeib and Maria Bouchard, and her husband Jon; cherished grandchildren, Zachariah and Sophia Eldeib, former wife, Laura Ianiro; brother-in-law, Joe Palawasta and family; partner, Ana Maria Elberg; as well as a host of extended family members and friends.
Tony is predeceased by his father, Anthony and his sister, Marianne.
The family of Anthony Ianiro wishes to acknowledge the help, comfort, and care, he received by all of his doctors and nurses; their skill and dedication were important to our family and you have our deepest gratitude.
Friends are invited to pay their respects to the family on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at Orender Family Home for Funerals 2643 Oldbridge Road, Manasquan, NJ 08736 on Saturday, from 12pm to 3pm with a catholic prayer service at 2:30pm. Cremation will be private.
